School Lunches
At Sythwood we believe that a healthy balanced diet plays a huge part in our children's ability to arrive in the classroom ready to learn. Our caterers, PS Catering Management, provide a varied menu each week including a salad bar. The current menu is available to download at the bottom of this page. Please choose your school dinners using the Arbor portal/app under Meals. Please refer to Arbor Help for further information.
Under the Governement's Universal Free School Meal scheme all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to daily free school meals.
The cost of a meal in Nursery and Years 3 to 6 from 1st April 2024 is £2.80 per day, £14 per week per child.
Payment
Parents of children in Nursery and Years 3 to 6 who choose to have school meals must pay in advance. Please kindly remember to keep your online dinner money account in credit. Payments are to be made through the school’s Arbor payment system on the portal/app. Please refer to Arbor Help for further information.
You must have signed up to the Arbor portal/app to be able to choose and pay for school dinners.
Free School Meals
Your child may be entitled to Free School Meals. Please check with the school office if you think you may be eligible and/or if you require an application form. If you want to find out more about free school meals eligibility, please visit the Government website www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals.
