Maths Meetings (KIRFs)

Year 5 Reading Spine

We have carefully selected these books which we will read with Year 5 over the course of the year. The books link with our History and Geography topics, exposing children to fantastic writing and represent the many cultures in our community. Weekly Homework

In Year 5, we are passionate about reading and expect children to read at home every night. This year, children will have a digital reading diary. They will learn more about this at the start of the year.

Every Friday, homework will be given to the children to complete that is related to recent learning in class. Homework will need to be completed by the following Tuesday.

Project Homework

This half term, the project homework will be linked to our Geography topic 'Features of a River'. Please make sure normal homework is still completed and you are still reading with your child. 

 

Maths

 

Throughout the year we will focus on different maths facts. Once they become automatic for children it will allow them to quickly recall the facts when completing more complex maths equations.
