At Sythwood Primary and Nursery, we use Zones of Regulation to help children understand and talk about their emotions. Each classroom has its own way for children to engage with the Zones and make them part of daily learning. One of the photos is from reception, continuous provision, where a group of boys in the construction area began talking about how they were feeling after playing together. A lovely example of the Zones in action — helping children reflect, communicate and self‑regulate. 💙💚💛❤️

🌟 Maths Masterclass Magic! 🌟 This term, our talented Year 6 and Year 3 mathematicians have been teaming up for a brand‑new Maths Masterclass, led by the brilliant Mr Crisp! Each week at lunchtime, the children tackle challenging maths problems, collaborate on strategies, and build confidence—with Year 6 pupils guiding, coaching, and celebrating success alongside Year 3. It’s been wonderful to see teamwork, resilience, and a real love for maths shining through. ✨ We’re incredibly proud of all the pupils taking part and a big thank you to Mr Crisp for facilitating this fantastic club.

Some of our Year 1 children attended an event at the Guildford Spectrum with NSSport. They had so much fun engaging in a variety of activities and loved the challenge. They represented our school wonderfully. Look out for more children attending this in the coming weeks! Well done to all involved.
