As we come to the end of National Volunteer Week, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful Sythwood volunteers.
Our school simply wouldn’t be the same without you. From our dedicated Local Governing Committee, to our fantastic readers, and our ever-supportive FoSS team—who raise vital funds through the wonderful events they organise for our children and wider community—your time, care and commitment make a real difference every single day.
We are incredibly grateful for everything you do—thank you for being such an important part of our Sythwood community 💙

A fond farewell to Mrs Jolly
Before half term, we said goodbye to a truly valued member of our Sythwood family, Mrs Jolly.
Mrs Jolly has been at the heart of our school, working with children and families across every year group with unwavering support, compassion and kindness. She has made such a positive difference to so many lives. 💛
From organising inspiring careers assemblies, leading energetic Wake Up, Shake Up sessions, supporting our Young Carers, to getting fully involved in every aspect of school life – Mrs Jolly has helped shape the success and spirit of our school community, making every child feel they belong.
We are excited for her as she takes on a fantastic new role within the Bourne Education Trust, where she will continue to make an impact across even more schools. They are incredibly lucky to have her!
Mrs Jolly, thank you for everything you have given to Sythwood. You will be greatly missed, but we look forward to your visits in the future.
Please watch the video below to hear some very special messages from our children…
