At Sythwood Primary and Nursery, we use Zones of Regulation to help children understand and talk about their emotions. Each classroom has its own way for children to engage with the Zones and make them part of daily learning.

One of the photos is from reception, continuous provision, where a group of boys in the construction area began talking about how they were feeling after playing together. A lovely example of the Zones in action — helping children reflect, communicate and self regulate.
