Physical Development

Physical development is one of the prime areas of learning in the early years curriculum which focusses on how young children gain control of their bodies. Importantly, it also includes how children learn about keeping themselves active, healthy and safe whilst learning to use various equipment and materials.

Here at Sythwood, the children can access many physical learning opportunities within our learning environment, both inside and outside.

The leaflets below contain tips and ideas on how to develop your child's physical development through play and activities.
