On Wednesday, Year 4 went to the Living Rainforest in Newbury; home to 700 species of plants and animals, where birds, butterflies and lizards roam free in the tropical glasshouses. The children enjoyed learning how the animals and plants have adapted to survive. They loved seeing pygmy marmosets, stingrays and poison dart frogs. The children were immersed in the environment, feeling the tropical temperature and hearing the sounds of the rainforest.
